After our lunch at IT Roo Cafe, buddy and I wanted to have something light after so we decided to head to Hwa Mui for desserts and drinks.

Mary recommended Hwa Mui to me as it has maintained it’s historical and cultural structure since 1946. Hwa Mui is like a traditional Chinese restaurant in the 40s. When you are upstairs, you can see how the servers bring down the drinks and food with the tray and a thick rope as depicted in the last two pictures. It is very unique how food and drinks are brought up and down like this and you can never find this kind of restaurant in Singapore. The service was just average – nothing exceptional!
Buddy and I decided to order Barley and Teh-Ping (Ice Milk Tea) for our drinks (1st-3rd pictures) and share the french toast meal (4th & 5th pictures). Never did we realized that the toast is just a slice of bread, what a bummer! The toast is really crispy at the side but the standard is just like any other Chinese restaurants that serves french toast.
I forgot the prices of the entire thing as I totally forgot to take a picture of our receipt.
