Took me awhile to settle down and finally blog about food again. I am still finding time to compile vlogs of restaurants I have tried in Vancouver so I am currently updating about food in Singapore! So 4 days ago, after a heavy lunch with Crystal, she brought me to Udders to have ice-cream – Totally perfect for humid Singapore!

Udders is a pretty cool place, with two levels of dine-ins, funky tank tops pasted on the walls and board for you to do graffiti on or scribble away. It is a self-serve cafe so just pick your seats, purchase your ice-cream, have a good time laughing over ice-cream or waffles and scribble away! The service is just average as we forgot to have free tries on certain ice-cream flavors and it was nothing but a fuss-free transaction.
I managed to leave my trademark at Udders by scribbling my foodblog nick, title and site address. This was a really funny experience to both Crystal, Vivian and I – inside jokes.
Crystal and I got the Tira-miss-u and Mao Shan Wang Durian flavors – Totally BAD combination of flavors! The tira-miss-u ice-cream has a strong dosage of alcohol, which makes the ice-cream very bitter. I am able to take in alcohol but I don’t like having them in my desserts, especially when I am craving for sweet food. Even though it is one of the best sellers under the liqueur flavors of ice-cream, I am giving a rating of 2.5/5★.
As for the Mao Shan Wang Durian, I really enjoyed it a lot since I have not eaten durian in the longest time! The durian flavor is also one of the best seller under the asian-inspired flavors. The ice-cream was pungent yet fragrant and bitter yet sweet so it was really gratifying to my taste buds and satisfied stomach.
rating: 5/5★
I forgot to mention that udders serve ice-cream made LOCALLY, which is a plus point since I am a Food, Nutrition and Health candidate at UBC. I am growing to like and support diners that serve local food.
It was SGD$8.90 for a connoisseur double and a GST of 7% is already included in the bill. This is one reason why I love my home country – because I do not have to calculate GST/PST/TIPS myself.
