Shaun recommended Charles and I to have ramen for dinner when we were having lunch at Hock Lam Beef Noodles. After hanging out till 8pm, Charles and I decided to head to the ramen place that Shaun was talking about since we were starving. Shaun did not even remember the name of the ramen place so we had to ask around for the location. We were directed to one of the department stores and from the third level, we managed to find Keisuke Tokyo.

The restaurant was almost closing because it was already 9+pm and the place closes at 10pm. However, we were greeted and served in a friendly way. The server was very friendly and patient even when I asked her to take pictures when she was so busy! The place is unlike other ramen places, where it is so squeezy and such. It is more spacious in this restaurant.

1st picture – We tried one of their signature beverage called Japanese Yuzu Juice, which is a citrus fruit juice that tastes like a mix of lemon and lime juice. The juice costs SGD$3.80, which is quite pricey for a glass of beverage. It is the first time I have tried Yuzu juice though and it was not bad – Has a very distinctive and tangerine taste!

2nd-4th pictures – How you order your ramen is interesting – They give you a slip of paper to fill in by ticking what you want so you have a choice to have more noodles, less or more oil, softer or harder noodles and stronger or lighter taste of broth. Charles had Tonkotsu with Chashu for SGD$14. I wanted Crabstock Ramen with egg but it was not available anymore as it is sold out so I got Tonkotsu with Egg (SGD$14) instead. Charles had everything checked as normal for his preference in oil, noodles and taste of soup while I ordered less oil for the soup. However, I found my ramen still very salty and thick. Charles’ ramen was even saltier!! I had a hard time finishing the ramen as the soup was too oily, thick and salty. I love their egg as it is very soft, just like poached egg!

6th-8th pictures – We had Green Tea Ice-Cream and Sesame Ice Cream for desserts and I really enjoyed it as the texture, taste and everything of very high quality! The ice cream costs SGD$5 each – Totally worth it and orgasmic!

Ratings of Green Tea Ice-Cream: 3.5/5★

Ratings of Sesame Ice-Cream: 4/5★

The bill costs a total of SGD$48, which is quite typical for ramen places.

This Japanese restaurant serves unique and distinct flavours such as Sesame and Yuzu. Really enjoyed the desserts but not the ramen.
