Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe

My business associate and I had a meeting with Warauku Group’s director on the 20th of August this year. Since our meeting was held in Mr Curry at Marina Square, we decided to have Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe since my business associate loves HK Milk Tea in Vancouver.

It took us a really long time to find our way to Hong Kong Cafe as it was located at the exterior of Marina Square. The restaurant is HUGE and there were sufficient workers there to cater to our needs. We were seated immediately and we got to choose our own circular and comfortable table. The servers were fine but they lack the knowledge of their own menu.

1st picture – My business associate and I share the dry chilli noodle with luncheon meat and egg (SGD$6.90). It is just like instant noodles with luncheon meat, vegetables and egg – Nothing special, really – far worst than noodles served at Honolulu Cafe in Vancouver.

Ratings: 1.5/5★

2nd & 3rd pictures – The Hong Kong Steamed Mushroom Chicken Bamboo Rice (SGD$7.90) looks so appetizing from the menu so we ordered it. Although the portion looks very small in reality, the actual serving size is huge. The deliciously fragrant bamboo rice are hidden at the bottom. The dish is covered by oyster sauce, which enhances the taste of the mushroom in it.

No picture – Totally forgot to take the Belacan 4 Season Beans (SGD$8.50) as we were busy consuming our meals. Was practically starving that afternoon. The Belacan beans was a HUGE disappointment. I have love spicy vegetables such as chilli Kang Kong and long beans since young so I have been craving for this in Canada. Unfortunately, the beans are really too dry for my liking.

My business associate stated that the HK Milk Tea (SGD$3.20) in Singapore differs from the ones in Vancouver. Needless to say, he prefers the ones in Vancouver. I love my teas, as long as they are not too sweet yet they have milk and condensed milk in it.
