Xiaoyi and I have not met up for a long time so we decided to have lunch together at Tampines before she head over for work. I felt so bad for being late at work. She waited for me for a bit at Kung Fu Paradise located at Century Square.

Xiaoyi suggested Kung Fu Paradise because she enjoys the meals there. She felt that the meals are similar to Xin Wang Cafe but it is much cheaper at Kung Fu Paradise. The settings are also pretty cute. The place is decorated with adorable icons of a Kung Fu boy – A very animated look and the chairs are very comfortable as well. The place was crowded even though it was only 4PM so we did not manage to get the table with couch. The service is just average – Servers are scattered all around and it was hard for us to get the bill.

Xiaoyi and I share the “Clan of Side Kicks” (WHAT AN ADORABLE NAME!), which is a sample of appetizers such as potato wedges, spring rolls and calamari with dipping sauces such as mayonnaise, chilli and mustard. The meal costs SGD$13.90 and we found it pretty filling and worth every penny! We wanted to get the sesame shaved ice later but we were so bloated with our drinks and the appetizers. I enjoyed the potato wedges the most because it is very soft and tasty. The calamari was the worst of the lot but at least, it was not as hard as the calamaris served at Viva Italia.

For my drinks, I had 1 cup of Barley (SGD$2.60) while Xiaoyi had 1 cup of Coke. The Barley water is not the best that I had but it is fine with me.

The total bill came up to be about SGD$22 so each of paid SGD$11 – not too bad for a filling meal!
