#78 the grille featured by country meadows golf course
due to work, i haven’t been hanging out with my dearest janet for awhile so when she called me to go blueberry picking last sunday, i decided to go ahead with her plans. it was a last minute decision so when she told me about it, i only had 10 minutes to dress up. decided to wear casual clothes since it was really warm that day. never did i expect that we will be heading to a classy restaurant at a golf course before the blueberry picking.

i was really stunned by the breathtaking view of the restaurant. while waiting for our meals, we went outside to snap shots of the amazing landscape they had. it was just like my imaginary magical garden i always wanted to have. i really found the bridge so beautiful ! the weather was so hot and dry that day that i wanted to jump into the pond so as to cool down. i wanted to snap more shots at the other end but it was only accessible to golfers, what a bummer ! i should really come back for desserts or golfing next time !
i already had lunch before i came out of the house so janet and i decided to share the mango chicken burger (CAN$10). as the server split the meal for us into two plates, she charged us an additional dollar for it. as you can see from the picture, i had half of the mango chicken burger which consisted of grilled chicken breast, lettuce, tomatoes and onions with mango chutney stuffed in a toasted bun. it also came with fries and ketchup at the side. i found the dish just average and the price is a little steep for what we are getting. also, our table was the first to order among alwyn’s group of friends but our meals were served beyond lateness, which was unacceptable. the fries were just fine but turbo seems to love it so much that he finished both janet and my fries when we could not finish it.

in conclusion, the view is what’s keeping this restaurant alive and running. i highly recommend it for golfing or chilling with friends but definitely not for the food. i do not mind coming back to give the desserts a try though !
