#300 놀부 맑은 설렁탕 @ Gangnam, Seoul
After Vivian left, I met up with a few of my friends in Seoul but of course they are not free to do so everyday. It is also impractical to be meeting my friends every single day so I decided to explore on my own. I love exploring places on my own and through this trip, I did not think that it is a lonely or sad thing to do. I was glad to have my ME time sleeping anytime I wanted and eating whatever I liked. It was near dinner time so after looking around for places to eat and use my laptop, I finally settled down at this place.
놀부 맑은 설렁탕

The place was really spacious and there were many parts of the interior that I could snap shots of as it was really unique and adorable in my eyes. The servers were also very friendly although they sneakily laughed at me when I asked them to snap a shot of me with my food. Some people may think that this is weird but I love documenting my life so I will not forget every bit of it. A lot of my friends only thank me a few years later because they had pictures to fall back on when their memories fail them. Anyway, I tried their Seolleongtang (놀부곰국시), which costs only 7,000 won (USD$6.80 / CAD$7.46 / SGD$8.52) – how cheap really! For those who do not know, seolleongtang is broth made from brisket or ox bones and cooked over an entire day under low heat. Although 놀부 맑은 설렁탕 has many branches, I would say that the seolleongtang served here tastes healthy, yummy and totally perfect for a cold Winter day! Furthermore, their seolleongtang is only served with natural ingredients and without any additives. This is the first time I had seolleongtang or even heard of it so perhaps, I am also an amateur when it comes to tasting seolleongtang.
