I was so bored of consuming California Roll since I came to Vancouver until Fae introduced Deep-Fried California Roll to me at Sushi California. When I brought Fine to Sushi California for dinner last year, she recommended the Deep-Fried California Roll sold at Kita Sushi instead. To find out which one I like better, read my verdict below.

Kita Sushi is just a small restaurant located opposite Gilmore station. The people working there are Korean and they are very generous with the food there. They even gave Fine and I a small bowl of their homemade Korean appetizer free of charge.
There are two types of Deep-Fried California Roll served at Kita Sushi. The first is Deep Fried California Roll filled with rice and topped with mayonnaise sauce (1st & 2nd pictures). The second is Deep Fried California Roll without rice but with salad at the side (California Salad - 3rd-7th pictures). Both cost CAD$5.04 each. Personally, I prefer the California Salad even though I did not eat the salad as the California Salad is more crispy and crunchy than the former one. However, the Deep Fried California Roll has a spicy and scrumptious sauce that comes with it. So it is your choice if you prefer the sushi roll with rice or salad. It is also up to your personal preference if you prefer crunchier roll.

The Homemade Korean Appetizer as depicted in the 8th picture was given to us free-of-charge!! How generous can people be, really?
As stated earlier, the Deep Fried California Roll and California Salad cost CAD$5.04 each – Quite affordable and it keeps you full as well!!!
