Cafe de Waraku located in Marina Square is invested by my aunt and a couple of partners. I have yet to head to that restaurant ever since it opened as I am always out of the country. I was finally able to go there when I came back in August last year.

P/S: The following review will NOT be biased just because my relative invested in the restaurant. If I do not like any food, I will definitely spill the beans.

Mr Curry is a very adorable cafe with lots of their pseudo dishes displayed on the side walls and a cute Mr. Curry soft toy at the entrance to welcome customers. The servers are very friendly and never fail to greet you with the Japanese greeting. Initially, Milton and I went there first before the rest of my relatives came. Of course, with my aunt around, the servers will be way nicer. Just for your info, Mr Curry and Cafe de Waraku are connected to one another.

1st picture – I do not know what this dish was called but we shared it and the meat is really very tender and the mayonnaise sauce and garnishes blends well with the the beef.

Ratings: 3/5★

2nd picture – Milton had the Chicken Pan Nabe, which costs SGD$9.80. I really love the presentation of this dish as the bread acts like a bowl, holding the curry soup with ingredients such as hard boiled egg, broccoli and chicken. The dish also comprised of waffles fries at the side. Milton really loves his dish a lot and he found the curry very gratifying.

3rd picture – I had the Prawn and Mushroom Curry Nan, which is SGD$9.80. It took the longest to be served. My guess is that the nan is baked fresh from the oven.  There are lots of garnishes on the nan and the nan is generously topped with cheese.  I enjoyed the nan as it is crispy and the cheese literally melts in your mouth. Heavenly goodness ! The shrimps are fresh as well.

1st picture – I do not know what my uncle ordered but all of us had a dessert set each. The dessert consists of a scoop of matcha ice-cream, glutinous rice balls and red beans – Totally Japanese ! I really love anything that consists of any of the above – Enjoyed my dessert to bits !

Ratings: 3.8/5★

2nd-4th pictures – When Milton and I were waiting for my relatives to come, I had the Mr. Curry Mango Juice (SGD$3.80) while he ordered the cold green tea (that allows you to have free refills). The mango juice was rather sweet for my liking (Ratings: 2.5/5★). However, Milton really love his green tea to bits. He found it very refreshing and delectable to his taste buds.

Our relatives were there so I did not manage to get a hold of the receipt.

In conclusion, I would like to try more of the desserts of Cafe de Waraku as their desserts left me a deeper impression.

SIDE NOTE: I will have an entry about the GRAND OPENING of CENTER STAGE (8 food outlets including a few Waraku outlets) in Indonesia soon !
