While staying at the DW Residence Guesthouse in Hongdae, I got to explore the various cafes and mini restaurants on the shopping streets of Hongdae. Since I was on my own, I decided to try out this inexpensive humble little restaurant.
불땡국수
39 Jandari-ro 6-gil, Mapo-gu

Little family restaurants like these always provide great and friendly services. The server was very nice to constantly help me to take pictures with the food even though I was being a little picky. It is also quite a cool restaurant as you place your order via the computer (4th picture) and you could take water on your own as well. Kimchi is readily supplied and you can take unlimited amounts of it. I had a bowl of bulttaeng noodles (불땡국수), which was a good escape from the cold weather. It is also very cheap as it only costs 3,500 won, unlike the usual dishes that cost 6,000 won served in other restaurants.
