#8 crepe of joy
finals are driving practically EVERYONE at UBC insane !! my study group and i have been staying over at campus almost everyday. i was done with my first final examination yesterday and i was so relived. my next three finals will be held next week so i am relaxing for now. with this said, i should give myself a little treat & have some crepes !

i have been to all locations of cafe crepe but i usually dine at the one located at robson street as the service is much better and the chances of getting seats are way higher. the prices of crepes depends on the filling. i think that the crepes served is pretty decent and filling considering how much i have to pay for it. the crepes served is like a meal itself. however, i think that cafe crepe is a little overrated though – hefty price due to it’s reputation.
therefore, i’ll rate it 3.5/5★

my boyfriend and i went to mazazu crepe’s opening on boxing day last year and the queue was so long. our orders took about half an hour to be served due to the long queue. we were anticipating for the appetizing crepes but was disappointed when the crepes was ready to be served. there are a variety of fillings such as mini brownies, ice cream and fruits though. those fillings help to aid on the taste of the crepes so it is passable.
hence, i’ll rate it 2.5/5★

i went to the OC at kerrisdale frequently back in 2007 and 2008 and found it pretty cozy to study at. the quality of the crepes there are way better than cafe crepes. it is not as expensive as the crepes in cafe crepe too.
hence, i’ll rate it 4.5/5★ the 0.5 deduction is only because the crepes are not as filling as the ones in cafe crepe.

i was surprised when OC opened near station square owned by a different person. the place is way bigger but i find the food including the crepes not as good as the ones in kerrisdale. the crepes are more filling there though. the OC at burnaby feels more commercialized than the one at kerrisdale. there was once when i went to OC at night and there was a fight there. it’s pretty dangerous at night too, how scary. also, the standard of the food has dropped A LOT since last summer !!
thus, i’ll rate it 2.5/5★

the best crepes are the ones made by my boyfriend ! he makes crispy crepes when i crave for it
