#73 soda shoppe
oscar, christina, clara and i were walking around downtown victoria 2 months ago. it was such a hot and dry day and i was carrying a lot of stuff like i usually do. so we decided to take a break from all the walking. i was craving for ice-cream as i was sweating buckets from wearing too many layers. one sad thing about living in BC is that during spring, the weather fluctuates so you don’t really know what to wear when you go on a roadtrip.

we saw the soda shoppe after looking at the empress hotel so we decided to chill there while waiting for kenny. the store was so big !! it consisted of two compartments. one was for dining there and ordering desserts such as waffles, banana split and such. the other was for displaying chocolates, gelatos and adorable stuff. the person serving me with ice-cream was fine with me taking pictures of the interior of the store. she also let me try different kinds of ice-cream so that i will order one that gives me maximum satisfaction.
oscar and christina was sharing the waffles with syrup and whipped cream and they gave clara and i a bite of it as well. i love anything sweet as long as the concentration of sweetness is not too high. the waffled was freshly made as seen at the counter of the store ! i love the crust of it and it tastes good when topped with syrup.

i ordered the maple gelato with pecan and it was such a good combination ! pecan has always been my favorite nuts and this store did not disappoint. the gelato was well-done as it did not melt even though i took lots time taking pictures of it. you know how good the gelato is when it does not melt easily !
