Vanilla Bake Shop

Back in December 2012, while the folks were shopping at Century City, Mandy and I decided to look around for cafes. We found this cute this cake shop called Vanilla Bake Shop and decided to browse through the place.

From the layout, Vanilla Bake Shop looks very cute and princessy. This was what attracted me to the store in the first place! The person serving us was very patient with fickle-minded me who could not decide if I wanted macaroons, a slice of cake, regular cupckaes or mini cupcakes. This proves that Vanilla Bake Shop passed both the service and ambiance test!

In the end, we got 6 baby cupcakes for USD$10.50, excluding service charge and taxes. In chronological order of the individual baby cupcake pictures, what we ordered were Southern Red Velvet, Blackberry Passionfruit, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Banana Chocolate Chip & Mom’s Birthday Cake. Both Mandy and I found the cupcakes too sweet for our liking. I did not try certain cupcakes such as Chocolate Peanut Butter as I do not like peanut butter. However, the rest of the cupcakes like the Southern Red Velvet (made up of southern red velvet cake, sweet cream and cheese frosting) and Banana Chocolcate Chip (consists of sweet banana cake, callebaut and chocolate chips) that I have tried  taste so nasty that I could not even finish half a baby cupcake!

I thought that I could have a snack while waiting for the folks to be done with their shopping but it turns out that the miniature cupcakes ended up bringing more suffering than pleasure to me. I would prefer purchasing a snack from Wetzel Pretzels next door anytime!
