After having a good time with my BFF dining at Din Tai Fung, roaming around the Olympic Walk and heading to the Harry Potter’s exhibition, my BFF and I decided to have desserts to cool ourselves down from all the walking. Since I dined at TWG by the Bridge before, we decided to try TWG Tea Gardens instead.

The whole TWG high tea experiences is just so magical – We were served by servers dressed in black working pants, white collar shirt and a tie and they served food to you and take your orders very professionally. I am always pleased with their services throughout my entire TWG high tea experiences at HERE and HERE - this visit is no exception! It’s funny how there are about 4 TWG Tea outlets in Marina Bay Sands and you always have a hard time deciding where to dine because all of the outlets have their special features.

1st picture – What we ordered altogether – We did not get tea this time as we just walked over from the art and science museum and was so tired!

2nd picture – I got myself the special cake on the shelf – Green Tea Dark Chocolate Cake (SGD$9.50) – The cake was not very rich and a little to the bitter side due to the strong dark chocolate taste. It is definitely not one of my favourite cakes but it is not as sweet as a lot of the cakes served at these kinds of places. Vivian preferred my cake over hers as it is simple, plain and not too sweet!

Ratings: 2.8/5★

3rd, 7th and 8th pictures – Vivian got a more worthy dessert set, which is none other than the Chocolate Fondant that costs SGD$12 and consists of warm chocolate cake topped with light custard cream and strawberry with a scoop of homemade Vanilla Bourbon Tea ice cream at the side. Her chocolate cake was way better than mine as it was more rich and has a sweeter taste to it and the ice-cream was amazingly good!

Ratings: 3.2/5★

4th-6th pictures – Like I mentioned earlier, Vivian and I decided to get mocktails instead of TWG’s specialized tea as we walked a lot from 5+pm to 8pm so we wanted something more refreshing to quench our thirst and so, we decided to get the Pink Beauty (glass with pink beverage) and the Pagoda (glass with yellow beverage)! The Pink Beauty mocktail was Vivian’s drink and it tastes much better than my drink as it comprises of fresh watermelon juice and green beauty tea while mine has sparkling lemonade with brisk and fruity weekend in shanghai tea. For the record, I did not end up finishing my drink.

Ratings for Pink Beauty: 3.5/5★

Ratings for Pagoda: 2.5/5★

The total costs SGD$51.20 so each person had to pay SGD$25.60, which is quite a hefty price.

Even though some people think that TWG Tea is overrated, they do have decent cakes and exceptional teas. This time, it was just my luck for choosing the wrong items!
