Continuing on from part 1 of my trip at Taiwan in November, we stayed at Talmud Business Hotel on the first day of our trip.

As stated by it’s name, Talmud Hotel is a business hotel that is named after a holy book that contains ancient rabbinic writings on Jewish law and traditions. The meaning of Talmud is instruction and learning from studying and teaching. After our excursion at Fengjia Night Market, the tour guide brought us back to our hotel to check in. Since this is a 3-4 stars hotel, the room was quite comfortable for such a hotel.

There was also a variety of food for the breakfast buffet at Talmud Hotel. My mum, brother and his girlfriend had a huge spread of food. However, I just ate my fruits and healthy breakfast, which they could not comprehend. So I did not managed to consume everything.

We were brought to Dream Mall at Kaohsiung after our trip at Ten Drum. Dream Mall is one of the largest shopping complex in Taiwan. As you can see from the pictures, the mall is decorated with lots of cute Sanrio characters. One amazing thing about Taiwan is also the fact that animals can be brought around in strollers in malls. My brother will be glad if Singapore has the same regulations.

We started our trip by having coffee and coffee cake at Dante Cafe. Both desserts and coffee are fine and it is not as expensive as the cafe culture in Korea.

While my brother were looking at shoes, I saw this unenclosed store decorated with flowers so I just snapped these!

My brother took a long time to shop at this unenclosed store called Santa Barbara and he managed to get himself 3 pairs of shoes.

Rooftop Theme Park

How awesome that this mall has a theme park at it’s rooftop! A pity that it is catered to kids though. The view from the top is very breathtaking regardless and it was a great experience just being up and beyond!

We ended our experience at the mall after having dinner provided by the tour. Again, it was buffet and we got to choose a sizzling plate of spaghetti with either beef, chicken or pork for our ala carte. This is not my ideal kind of meal at Taiwan as I will always try the local food in the country I am in. It seems like I will never finish my food provided by the tour.

NEAREST STATION: KRT R6 Station Exit #3, Dream Mall Shuttle Bus (夢時代購物購物中心免費接駁車) provided.

Although I am never a fan of malls, this was a good family bonding period for us.
