#65 any room for all-you-can-eat bbq ?
i have always seen kim ga nae around but never got to try it until last summer with jny & company. it is walking distance from aberdeen canada line and there are quite a number of parking spaces around. thus, it is highly accessible. however, it is very empty during lunch hours and therefore, the service is really horrible. there were eight of us and we had two barbecue pits on the long table. one barbecue area was spoilt so it was quite troublesome for four of us to cook the raw meat on one table and eat on another table. they did not allow us to use another table so that all of us will be able to be comfortable to cook and eat on the table altogether. also, they were pretty impatient when we had many requests. there seems to be very little servers around and thus, the service is really slow.

i would have to comment that the overall taste of the food is not exactly excellent. it is just standard as i have tried better korean pancake and food at places like insadong and tofu house. the gyoza is really crispy and delicious though. as for the meat we used to barbecue, the pork belly is everyone’s ultimate favorite as it is really tender and chewy. the chicken is appetizing as well but again, it is not fantastic.
the total bill came up to a total of CAN$15 per person including tips and tax. the price is standard for lunch but not really value for money in my opinion.
