After my first experience consuming seolleongtang in 놀부 맑은 설렁탕, I decided having it again but this time in another restaurant because I chanced upon this after my trip to Yeoksam Global Village Center so I entered the restaurant without much hesistation.

The restaurant seems to be a family restaurant – small and humble. The elderly servers/owners are very friendly and kept asking where am I from. However, their command of the English language is not very friendly so we using signs to speak. I tried asking them a couple of questions in English but could not get any respond as they could not understand. Overall, it was a nice conversation though. What I got was definitely the seolleongtang / 설렁탕, which costs 6,000 won (USD$5.86 / CAD$6.37 / SGD$7.33). What I love about Seolleongtang is that firstly, it is a more healthier version of the Korean cuisine. Secondly, the broth is thick and thirdly, soup is naturally nutty with a hint of sweetness. There is no need to add much salt in it to make it taste good. This restaurant definitely brings a homely and cozy taste to it!
