After my first dinner with Von Von at 정성본, we decided not to have desserts for a change but instead, she brought me to have jjimdak as I have never ate it before. We were walking around gangnam area and chanced upon 봉추찜닭 and decided to head in since Von Von stated that this restaurant is relatively famous.

However, we came in and the restaurant was pretty empty. We had full attention from the staffs though. So since Von Von is very fluent in the Korean language, she helped to order the small 봉추찜닭 in half portion, which will cost us 20,000 won altogether. I was very surprised when the food came because it was still a very large portion for us, especially since we already had our dinner. For those who do not know, the components of a jjimdak dish are cellophane noodles, boiled chicken, onions, chilli, carrot, potatoes and other vegetables served in ganjang based sauce. The dish is really out of the world but very spicy so if you cannot tolerate such spices, try to find restaurants that is more ‘fusionized’. Definitely a first try for me but it kept making me crave for it, especially since I am quite a noodle fan.
