Minerva is located at the heart of Kerrisdale. It is a cozy family restaurant that has been running since 1975. The server is very friendly as he made a lot of recommendations for us to order and was more than happy to know that Holly and I will be sharing the food.
We had the Mushroom Ravioli (2nd picture) for starters and it was the best dish that night! You got to try it as the food melts in your mouth with their delectable cream and egg ingredients. The mushroom makes the dish so fragrant and delicious and the pasta is very well cooked as well. The dish costs CAD$9 and both Holly and I thought that it is worth it. The server gave us the option of an “open food” (3rd picture) choice and we decided to get it. It was Penne Pasta with tomato sauce and some meat. The pasta was really dry and we did not have a very good impression of it. It costs CAD$16 and boy, were we disappointed with the high ravings but mediocre taste. The Minerva Special Pizza (4th-6th pictures) also left us leaving the restaurant with no satisfaction as the pizza was just very standardized and like any other regular pizza. We got the smallest portion, which costs CAD$13. As you can see from the above picture, we could not finish what we ordered so we took it to go.

Minerva’s is definitely comfort food for those living around the area but I would not make a long trip there just to try the food.
