As it was Alan’s birthday in September, he decided to bring us to Kedah House for their weekend buffet on a Saturday afternoon for lunch.

As the boys came from Joyce, Dicky brought them over and picked me up from my home. After which, we went to Kedah House by car. There were lots of parking space when we arrived at around 2.30pm! The place was quite empty when we arrived. Perhaps it is because we had our lunch at such a late time. As you can see from the above pictures, we had the buffet, which is only available in the weekends (Friday-Sunday). The buffet is not a large spread but you cannot ask for more because it only cost CAD$9.99 per pax, excluding tax and tips. The men refilling the food is very friendly and kept joking with us when I asked him to help us to take a picture.
What I ate – A bit of everything in one plate (mee goreng, beef rendang, yellow rice, etc , one plate of Gado Gado, a bowl of Black Glutinous Sticky Rice and a plate of Kueh). There were Sambal Egg as well but as I am trying to cut down my cholesterol intake, I did not get it. The food was really mediocre so do not expect much. I found the kuehs and the black glutinous sticky rice VERY sweet so I did not finish up the meal. I guess the best food of the restaurant is probably the Gado Gado with peanut sauce! As I just came back from Singapore, I have more sense on which food is authentic. As opposed to how some reviews stated that it is authentic, it is definitely not.
