Sydney Fish Market

Since I am done with my entries on Seoul, I am moving on from my 32 days Seoul trip to my 10 days Aussieland trip. Since my sisters and I were staying at The Star on our 10D9N trip to Aussieland last March, our first itinerary of the day was to head to Sydney Fish Market as it was an eight minutes walk from our hotel.

Sydney Fish Market sells many fresh seafood as seen above. The market itself is very clean and not the traditional wet market we usually see in Asia. This totally reminds me to Granville Island in Vancouver and Pike Place Market in Seattle. However, we found that the price of the seafood shown there is a lot more expensive than those in Vancouver. Oh, what a pity!!

This experience was nothing new to Sam and I as we have seen all these in Vancouver so we just settled for a random dining place and bought a couple of shrimp skewers and 1-2 kilpatrick to share between us because we have already did room service prior to heading here. The shrimp skewer comprised of peeled shrimps with slices of capsicums in between it. We felt that it was a little burnt and overly grilled. As for the kilpatrick, it comprises of oysters, bacon and cheese melted with Worcester sauce. I love the taste of it but it was a little to the salty side. It costs AUD$2.50 each.

It is my first time heading to Aussieland but everything seems so surreal here as many of the places I went to totally reminds me of Vancouver. This fisheries market was not a surprise to both Sam and I but we enjoyed our time there anyhow!
