#110 Hao Yue Tou Local Delights at Tiong Bahru, Singapore

While waiting for another gathering at Redhill, my business associate and I went to Tiong Bahru to have dinner. As Vicky and Katherine lives there, I was asking them what hawker centre is good. They mentioned New Lok Lok Eating House and so, we went there.

This store has my favourite fried food such as Hokkien Mee and Char Kway Teow. The service is typical – no friendliness, nothing special. The hawker centre looks clean though.

1st picture – The least favourite of Singaporean fried meal – Omelette Oyster (SGD$3). I love both black carrot cake and fried oyster but not omelette oyster and omelette carrot cake. Seriously, the oyster’s flavoring is already very strong. Adding the “egg-ish” omelette inside makes me want to puke. I handed the meal to my business associate to eat instead since he loves it.

2nd picture – I ate the entire Char Kway Teow on my own (SGD$3) as I love the spiciness in it. However, it is very oily as predicted by the amount of oil they used to fry it. I had to wipe my mouth every single second after taking a bite on it. The seafood in it were fresh and I am glad I had that over the Omelette Oyster for dinner.
