#473 海灣咖啡屋 / Café Litoral @ Vila de Taipa, Macau

After hiking at both Tai Tam Mountain and Hac Sa Beach, my cousin brought me to have Macanese food since I was complaining that I never had it before.

The cafe that my cousin brought me to was Cafe Litoral, which is located in the heart of Taipa Old Village near A Ma Temple. The exterior of the cafe gives an ancient yet modern vibe as it is beautifully decorated with green ivy leaves on white walls and complemented with wrought iron gates and windows. Upon entering the restaurant, there is a security person welcoming you. Although it is labelled as a cafe, the table setting is pretty much like a fine dining restaurant. The restaurant was playing beautiful European classics and I told my cousin that my dad would love to be here to enjoy the music! Complementary bread (third picture) will be served once you have placed your order but since my cousin has ordered so much food for me, I did not touch the bread at all. My cousin ordered the following items Codfish Cakes,  Baked Crab Meat, Curry Shrimp With Crab Meat, Minchi, Assorted Vegetables With Garlic and Vegetarian Spaghetti as depicted in the forth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth pictures. Since my cousin is vegetarian, she is unable to consume all the dishes except for the Assorted Vegetables with Garlic and Vegetarian Spaghetti. No doubt, I really enjoyed all the dishes (especially the curry shrimp with crab meat) that my cousin constantly refill and put on my plate since the flavours were so strong and tasty but as you know, Portuguese/Macanese food are very dense, thus I was not able to finish all the food. My cousin took the remaining food to go for her helper to eat for dinner. Boy, what a feast it was!
