this site has been collecting dust for awhile. things have been rather hectic on my end. just can’t wait to graduate so that i can spend more time on food blogging. it’s only february and i have learn a lot throughout a month of 2011. i have so many entries to update on restaurants i’ve been to. i also do not have time to moderate 1000+ pending comments of this site. but let’s take a step at a time, alright ?

go thai is a neat restaurant for authentic thai cuisine. there are relatively sufficient number of parking spaces in front of the restaurant. it is a little tough traveling there by public transit though but thankfully bus 155 and 154 go there. fae & the crew brought me sometime last month on a saturday afternoon for lunch. there were 9 of us but we were seated immediately as there were not many customers at that period of time. the server is very friendly and gave us enough time to look through the menu and decide what we wanted.

green curry – CAN$10.95

the green curry had eggplants, which was to die for  !! the curry was not spicy at all but it was really scrumptious due to the coconut milk. the meal itself looked appetizing due to the variety of food in it such as peas, bell pepper, chicken, basil and egg plants. the chicken is relatively tender since it is cooked with the curry.

rating: 4.5/5★

tom yum gai – CAN$7.95

what for head to a thai restaurant if you don’t try their speciality – tom yum ? jane ordered this and shared it with fae & i. the soup is hot and sour, which comprised of mushrooms, exotic thai herbs and chicken. since it was a little too sour for my liking, i mixed it with rice so that i would balance the sourness.

ratings: 3/5★

pad thai – CAN$8.95

many of them ordered pad thai as it is their signature dish. i was shocked to know that go thai’s mild is not really spicy but the level of spiciness for medium is too much for many to bear so please take note of the difference between mild and medium before you make your order. i tried josh’s pad thai and it is really so spicy that i had to consume my green curry at intervals of eating the pad thai to ease the hotness. the pad thai was so spicy that i couldn’t even remember the taste of the ingredients. i will give the pad thai another try sometime soon !

deep fried banana with ice cream – CAN$4.95

i did not get a taste of this but by the looks of it, it is very much appealing. josh, yongky and the others love this though.
